The 4-drawer "62 Dresser" chest of drawers from Gubi is ideal to complete your living room, hallway, bedroom or office thanks to its elegant and classic aesthetics. Its timelessness is undeniable as it is a design from 1952 that is still very current today.
It is made of American walnut wood with a glossy black laminated top. Its large volume body contrasts with the black metal legs that give the furniture a light appearance and are finished in a very special way, with solid wood balls.
Gubi is the firm in charge of producing Greta M. Grossman's furniture collection, "62 Dresser", original design from 1952. The collection receives this name because at the time of its creation it was considered that the result was typical of future years, which is why it is attributed 10 years in advance, hence it refers to the year 62.
The dresser has very slender and light black metal legs finished with a solid wood ball. The central volume of the sideboard consists of 4 drawers and is made of American walnut wood with a matte semi-varnish and a black laminate top with a glossy finish. The choice of these materials gives off a sophisticated and very elegant image, only suitable for the most refined tastes. 62 Dresser is a very classy piece of furniture.
All "62" furniture reflects a very similar aesthetic, combining one of Grossman's most characteristic features, the use of different materials for the parts that make up the furniture.
Grossman was greatly influenced by European modernism, which had been imported to the United States by influential architects, such as Walter Gropius (founder of the Bauhaus) and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Grossman, in turn, played an important role in defining the aesthetics of mid-twentieth-century Californian Modernism.
Today, Grossman's product designs are highly sought after by collectors and are sold at auctions around the world. Grossman's products are unique and modern classic designs.
