Carl Hansen & Son , founded by Carl Hansen himself, is a Danish firm recognized worldwide that combines artisan tradition with new technologies, designing unique pieces for a contemporary home.

In 2008 they celebrated 100 years of existence. Virtually all of their products are by the same designer Hans J. Wegner, a collaboration that began in 1949 and was a turning point for both the brand and the designer. It's really rare that the union of a high-end furniture producer is so closely connected to a single designer.
